It's so wonderful to take a day out to simply indulge yourself. I did that yesterday. I loved it. Flinders Lane is such a treat, that place has everything that rings my bells.

Starting at Craft Victoria where I saw so much handmade goodness, my head almost fell off, making my way to Corporate Culture staring at the beautiful shapes of the chairs and tables and my absolute favourite item, the Bestlite. I was enjoying the Native furniture series at Format furniture. And the Tom Dixon collection at DeDeCe. So many highlights.

The thing I wasn't expecting, however, was discovering Leona Edmiston's winter sale, as I headed back up Little Collins st. Now it looks like I have something very special to wear for my b'day dinner with L'Homme on Sunday night!

Hi Shelley, happy belated birthday!! Hope you enjoyed your day in Flinders Lane - it sounds as though it was perfect. Did you have lunch at The Journal? And...I am love with the Bestlite too - that's one of my dreams, to own a beautiful bestlite for my desk (meanwhile I have to make do with Ikea lamps!!).

Also, I haven't forgotten about popping over to Galmont to select a vintage poster for my son's room - we've knocked out a section of wall and are currently installing built-in robes & desk. Just not quite ready for the artwork yet!! Also, I've been pretty flat out with work etc.

I do look forward to meeting you face-to-face though & I wanted to thank for the lovely comments you have left on my blog. They're gorgeous!!

Wow, this has been a long 'comment', I'd better wrap it up. Lee :)

girls, i had a wonderful time! thanks for your birthday wishes, a very fortunate girl indeed.
and lee, i'd actually like the standing bestlite behind a reading chair, in our bedroom....just near the eiffel tower vintage poster you have commented on in the past. but like you, until that day arrives, my ikea table lamps will do the trick! hope all is going well with your studies and life juggling. i completely forgot you were after something for your son, we have something set aside just for you! so you won't go home empty handed, regardless. x
