Dog Day Afternoon

all images; shelley t (1) and stephan t (2-6) for galerie montmartre

We've just framed-up this old Fitzroy council poster telling people to register their pet dogs. So I thought it was appropriate to show some other canine inspired vintage posters - a little Thursday theme if you will!

well, look at you two choosing posters by two iconic poster artists! stylish women, love it.

lee, you have chosen a piece by savignac; iconic, legendary, cheeky, quirky man - the same artist who did the paris (eiffel tower) image in chez trbuhovich bedroom that you love - who worked right up to his death at the ripe old age of 91.
and captain, you have fallen for another iconic poster artist's work; bernard villemot who is known for his bally women images and he actually created the orangina orange peel brand that is still used today. he too kept working until his death - he was a young one, at 89.
remarkable men and loved by galmont.
and here endeth vintage poster lesson 101!!
