Hello Lyn Gardener!

image; lyn gardener, 2005 via the age

Okay, so there I was standing in line at the deli of my local supermarket and in she walked looking head to toe adorable, little sundress, just the right amount of make-up and those curls piled high adorned with a single silver clip. Since this post, we've actually communicated a little after she wrote me a beautiful email, since then she has also visited Galmont a few times - when I haven't been around. So we had not actually met in person. She seemed in a rush, I was in a rush and I also happened to look like something the cat dragged in. (I remember hoping I wouldn't run into anyone as I left home...why does that always happen?!!)

What the heck - "Lyn! Hello, it's Shelley T from Galerie Montmartre.", I say. Graciously she smiled, we chatted a teensy bit and then she said the thing that you hope all style making, entrepreneurial women with an awesome eye would say, "Oh Shelley, you have a gorgeous shop......a goooooorrrgeous shop!" And with that, Lyn Gardener disappeared into the vegie aisle and I grabbed my dips and took my Target jeaned, surfie t-shirted, canvas footed self to the checkout!!

Why is it always that way!!!

Well she is certainly one talented lady..If it wasn't for the Melbourne winters.. that is where I would live for sure...visiting all the wonderful shops like yours and Empire Vintage

Ok Shelley... remember always look your best when you go to the grocers..

It's Murphy's Law isn't it?? Whenever I decide to risk it and go out quelle daggy, I bump into someone who looks totally glam. She is divine, isn't she?!

I bet that was at Piedemontes! I bet. Or maybe it wasn't! But I bought my jeans at Target and I met Lyn too.. so maybe it's something to do with the Target jeans ATTRACTING Lyn Gardeners. We are QUITE the David Attenboroughs, no? We could do a show about the habits of Vintage Birds. And Lyn could be our number one Bird! Sorry I am fruit looping out a bit, but I share your enthusiasm for Ms G. x

I love Lyn's style! Reminds me of seeing Alannah Hill at the movies recently, and as such a fashion-confident (!?) lass she looked fantastic as I long for her kind of confidence in fashion/personal style... hard to try and not stare when you see these types around our town - at least you did the good thing and said hello!! :)

It is always the way, when you do not want to bump into anyone, you always see someone you know.

Thanks for leaving the comment on my blog. We are about 1 1/2 hours drive from Bordeaux in the Dordogne.

Happy to give you advise on the area should you need any :-)
