Let's hear it for...

image; maaret from visual notes
...Mondays!

We love Mondays! L'Homme, the Petits and myself always go to a local cafe for lunch and watch the world go by. I was so drawn to this image of a Swedish eatery in the middle of parkland - how relaxed does everyone seem? It just 'shouts' community to me.
No doubt this is the kind of place the Trbuhovich clan would frequent every Monday if it was nearby.

Happy Friday - A Fitzroy and Danish Thank-You

The Galmont mailbox has been full of thanks lately and it feels so good.

We received a beautiful certificate and letter from Fitzroy Primary School for the vintage poster we donated to them - you may remember a Happy Friday post about it, here.
And then, Lovely Lina from Denmark, whose home had me enthralled here, sent me a collection of postcards featuring her art-work.

I don't know about you, but I think appreciation - sharing it and receiving it - is so good for the soul.
Thank-you for reading, have a great weekend!

Danish Delight - Line Juhl Hansen

all images; line juhl hansen via 'made by girl'
This love affair with Danish homes (remember this beauty?)is taking me completely by surprise at the moment. I think it is the comfort and ease in the decorating that brings me here....mind you, the fact that I am thinking of brightening my own place could be leading me to these interiors, as well. And we share a love of the odd designer bit thrown in for good measure. (ie. light fixture and stokke high-chairs seen in dining area....we've got a couple of red ones - and they're great!)
According to artist Line Juhl Hansen - whose home I am showing (via the gorgeous blog Made by Girl) - the first two photos are her most favourite part of her home, it's where she hangs with her little people.
Something about these pictures really says the word 'home' to me....gotta love that!

Danish Delight

images; bo bedre via The Style Files

While checking out some of my favourite design blogs over the weekend, I happened upon the home of Rie Elise Larsen over at The Style Files and was instantly smitten.
I love her use of vintage pieces with more modern designs, the tolix chairs in a variety of colours, the light of her apartment, the mix and match fabrics, the considered furniture placement which looks as if it 'just happened' that way. Gorgeous. And then I saw it.....lo and behold if there wasn't a vintage poster sitting on the dining wall!
Now I know the girl's got style!
